WCP Athletics United is a community-driven football tournament. Every team carries a heritage. Every match is a celebration. Since 2005, in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Our Mission

TO UNITE communities THROUGH SPORT

Regina's WCP Cup began with the vision of Kevin Holness, a former Canadian Men's National Team player whose professional career included the Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps, Winnipeg Fury, Toronto Blizzard, and several other clubs across North America. With help from athletes and organizers, the tournament has taken off each team representing a country, with athletes carrying their heritage onto the pitch. WCP stands for World Class Players a name Holness took from the DJ group he was part of in high school, where every member played sports. From that idea, the name for the tournament fell into place.

An Event to remember

The WCP Cup opens with a parade of flags — every team walking under the colours they represent. Speeches from organizers and community leaders, cultural performances from across the diaspora, and the ceremonial first kick that sets the energy for the days ahead. It's the moment a hundred teams become one tournament.
